What is the 1098-T form?
As an eligible educational institution, Indiana University is required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to file an annual Tuition Statement (Form 1098-T) for each student who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident pursuing a degree, and for whom a reportable transaction is made (i.e. tuition, course-related fees and any scholarships or grants received). This information is provided to assist taxpayers in determining eligibility for claiming Education Tax Credits or Deductions enacted by the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997.
How do I access the form?
Students may access the 1098-T form via the 1098-T Tax Form tile in One.IU. Parents, guardians, and other individuals must be granted third party access by the student in order to access the form. Visit the Third Party Access page for more information.
I tried accessing the form and it won't open. What do I do?
The 1098-T form opens in a new window. Your brower's pop-up blocker may be keeping the window from opening. Review these instructions to learn how to disable your browser's pop-up blocker. If you still aren't able to access the form, clear your browser's cache and cookies

How do I request a duplicate form?
You may access the 1098-T form electronically at any time via 1098-T Tax Form tile in One.IU. If you are not able to access the form via the task tile, use the Request for Duplicate Tax Form. If you no longer have access to IU systems, please complete and submit the Request for Duplicate Tax Form - Former Employees or Students. Duplicate requests are accepted after mid-February.
