The Movement of Funds section is meant to provide a greater understanding of Indiana University's mechanisms for moving funds and transfering balances between internal university accounts. This section contains information about the Transfer of Funds (TF), Distribution of Income and Expense (DI), General Accounting Adjustment (GEC) and the appropriate usage of these documents.

  • Transfer of Funds: The required Kuali Financial System (KFS) document for moving cash balances between Indiana University accounts. This page contains general information, requirements, and best practices associated with the Transfer of Funds document.
  • Distribution of Income and Expense: The required KFS document for redistributing general ledger balances between the same basic accounting categories (asset, liability, income and expense). General information, distinguishing characteristics between the documents, requirements, and best practices are provided in this section.   • General Accounting Adjustment: The required KFS document for adjusting general ledger balances across accounting categories (asset, liability, income and expense).
